Who we are

What we collect

• Donations: your name, email, telephone, address and postcode, the amount, cause and type of your gift, and whether you have made a Gift Aid declaration. Card details are entered directly into Stripe and are never seen or stored by us.
• Enquiries: the name, email, telephone and message you send through the contact form.
• Security: your IP address and browser details, kept briefly to protect the site from spam and attacks.

How we use it

We use your information to process your donation and send your receipt, to claim Gift Aid from HMRC where you have asked us to, to reply to your enquiry, and to keep this website secure. We do not sell or share your information with anyone for marketing.

Who we share it with

Stripe processes card payments on our behalf. HMRC receives Gift Aid declarations. Our email provider delivers receipts and replies. Each handles your data under its own data protection obligations.

How long we keep it

Donation and Gift Aid records are kept for at least six years, as HMRC requires. Enquiries are kept for as long as needed to deal with them. Security logs are deleted automatically after 30 days.

Cookies

This site uses one essential cookie to keep forms secure and staff signed in. It contains no personal information and is deleted when you close your browser. If analytics is switched on, it is described here before it is used.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, or object to how we use it, by emailing info@mercyorganisation.co.uk. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
