Free eye camps and cataract surgery

Cataracts are the leading cause of avoidable blindness. A short operation can give someone back their sight, their independence and their ability to work.

We run free eye camps in Azad Kashmir and Pakistan — in Gulpur, Dadyal and Chakswari — where qualified specialists examine patients, prescribe treatment and refer those who need it for cataract surgery, completely free of charge.

Every Ramadan we deliver family food packs to households in Azad Kashmir who would otherwise struggle through the holy month.

Our “Mission for families in AJK” in Ramadan 2024 put essential food into the hands of mothers, elders and families in need, handed out in person by our team and local volunteers.

Education and training

School fees, books and uniforms for children, and vocational training for adults so they can find skilled work.

Free eye camps

Eye examinations, glasses, medicine and cataract surgery, free of charge, for anyone with sight problems.

Clean water

Wells and hand pumps for villages and schools, bringing safe water and cutting the illnesses that keep children at home.

Food and emergency relief

Food parcels and urgent support for families in crisis, so a hard season does not become a lasting setback.

Our projects run in vulnerable communities across Asia, Africa and the Middle East, with a particular focus on Pakistan and Azad Kashmir, where our free eye camps take place.

From our base in Birmingham we work with trusted local partners — hospitals, schools and community leaders — so that every project is run by people who know the area and the families we serve.
